Speakers
Jaap Mendel brings 38 years of experience in the chemical industry. In his presentation, Jaap will explore how to align supply chain planning and operations within a company shaped by multiple acquisitions. Such environments often face inconsistencies in processes, concepts, and KPIs, with varying levels of maturity across different business units. Jaap will discuss how the implementation of S&OP and S&OE processes has enabled Valtris to create a unified framework for identifying and addressing these gaps. Additionally, he will share insights on fostering alignment among leadership and teams, and how Valtris has effectively navigated this challenge.
Filip Buytaert can rely on over 30 years of leadership experience, having held several senior supply chain roles at major global companies. In his keynote, Filip will explore the operational link between planning and manufacturing, focusing on how and when planning transitions into scheduling, and which time horizons are most effective. He will explain how the use of weekly and daily routines (Tier 1, Tier 2, etc.) and the development of clear KPIs can drive schedule adherence. Filip’s vision for implementing autonomous cells serves as the foundation for Aliaxis’ design decisions. These cells help ensure a well-aligned and achievable schedule while balancing trade-offs between cost, service levels, and inventory. Drawing on his extensive experience at Axalta Coating Systems, Akzo Nobel, and Aliaxis, Filip will offer valuable insights into optimizing these processes.
